Bringing St Stephen’s bells to the next generation in Victoria

Cantandum Concert

7.30pm Friday March 13th

Cantandum – the Singers and Friends of Westminster School Common Room – is coming to St Stephen’s on Friday 13th March 2015 for their annual Lenten concert. Established in 2003, the choir has a reputation for interesting programming and the quality of their vocal sound. The concert begins at 7.30pm and is approximately one hour long. It’s a lovely programme of largely unaccompanied music for Holy Week. The music is all superb: Victoria Tenebrae Responsories for Maundy Thursday, Palestrina Stabat Mater, Bach Komm Jesu, komm, two of the Poulenc Lenten motets and the Reproaches by John Sanders.

The church is easy to find in Rochester Row (SW1P 1LE) being a short walk from Victoria Station or St James’s Park Station.

Admission is free, with a retiring collection in aid of Appeal for a Peal; we would be thrilled to see you there.
