Wine Tasting Wednesday 1st July 2015

About 60 people attended this event which was held in the Chapel Room at The Grange Wellington Hotel. A cool and airy room, it proved to be an ideal location for what turned out to be the hottest day of the year.

Those present enjoyed interesting and entertaining guidance from Linda Theissen of Armit Wines as they were socialising and drinking six very different wines from across the world. An excellent variety of Cheeses from the locally based (Tachbrook Street) Rippon Cheese enhanced the occasion further.

The evening ended with much jollity as Graham Buckle and Duncan Webb accepted the ice bucket challenge.

Two raffles were held during the evening and we were lucky enough also to receive additional donations from people who were unable to attend on the day.

In all about £1,800 was raised as a result of this event.
